THE TRULY FRENCH & TRULY FINE ART OF LACE MAKING

It’s impossible to sum up the incredible artistry, complexity, and cultural heritage of lace in one blog post, but here’s a simply-stated fact: Like the world’s finest wine and fashion, the most superbly-crafted lace finds its home in France.
Lace has been around since at least the 15th century, but it wasn’t until an unassuming yet enterprising Frenchman named Joseph-Marie Jacquard invented the mechanized loom in the 19th century that the making of lace took off on an industrial scale.
